In order to become a member of Excelsior Preparatory School’s teaching staff, one must have the necessary credentials to educate. They must also sign a statement of faith that attests to their Christian belief and practices.
Many of our teachers have been with the school since its early stages of 1996-1998. Subsequently, they understand, believe in, take pride in, have contributed to, and skillfully perpetuate the core values, goals, and beliefs that Excelsior Preparatory School uses to ensure that students acquire intelligence, wisdom, and strength of character.
Ethics
Excelsior Preparatory School believes that a true education must be built upon the authoritative word of God. Therefore, its goal is to provide students with intelligence, wisdom, and character. Teachers’ pedagogical practices must be aligned with the school’s goals, which result in teaching that is diligent, nurturing, principled, and faithful.
Teachers are responsible for maintaining the school’s educational standards through continuous planning, preparation, research, and conduct. Teachers are responsible for communicating with their pupils in ways that encourage, motivate, inspire, guide, correct, and direct.
Teachers are also responsible for establishing professional, positive and open lines of communication with parents in an effort to provide them with the necessary information for providing students with reinforcement of skills and values taught in school.
In addition to upholding Biblical tenets, all teachers must comply with local, state, and federal laws that govern schools and protect students’ and parents’ rights.
