Principal's Job

Introduction
Excelsior Artz Preparatory School is a Christian Educational Institution which serves students in grades Pre-school- Middle School.  It is seeking a highly effective Principal to work collaboratively with the School Board and the Superintendent to provide educational leadership to the school community which consists of students, teachers, administrative personnel, parents, and volunteers.  The principal will serve as an instructional leader who drives and ensures that the school’s standards are maintained, consistently assessed, and increased strategically. 

Requirements:

  • A Master’s Degree, along with relevant work experience is preferred.  The applicant must also be certified to teach in the state of Florida,  possess a local and federal certificate of clearance received from a criminal background screening, be an affirmed  Christian, be physically able to perform the job functions, demonstrate leadership skills(which include, but are not limited to great organizational skills and time management skills),  be able and willing to work long, flexible hours when deemed necessary, be a punctual employee, demonstrate professional conduct at all times, possess great interpersonal skills, and have an evident  passion for academic excellence.  Additional requirements are as follows:
  • Computer literacy skills and good customer service skills 
  • A physician’s statement of good health and references will also be required.

The salary is dependent upon various factors and will be discussed during the interview process.

Below is a timeline and the process for the consideration of applicants.

  1. Applications and/or resumes will be reviewed by the current principal and the superintendent.  Applications that are deemed favorable will be submitted to the school’s board for a second evaluation.
  2. An interview with the superintendent or the current principal will be scheduled approximately two weeks after the application has been received. 
  3. A second interview with the school’s board will be scheduled for favorable applicants within two weeks of determining their potential for the fulfilling the position.
  4. After a meeting with the board, applicants will be asked to perform a series of leadership tasks.
  5. An evaluation of the applicant’s performance will be conducted and the hiring decision will be made and conveyed to the applicant within two- three weeks after the evaluation.  If the applicant receives a favorable response, salary and benefits will be discussed as well.  The applicant will be rendered a contract, which must be accepted and signed within one week in order for the position to be considered fulfilled.

Position- Teacher

Experience - minimum of one (1) year

Education- B.A/B.S 

Position available: 

Third grade teacher needed to teach language,mathematics and social science(academics). To teach motor and social skills in preparatory school, and to create and prepare course objectives and outlines for course of study, following school curriculum guidelines requirements of state and school. Demonstrate and use audio visual teaching aids test and record tests.
